COVID-19: Outbreak detected at St. Paul’s Hospital neonatal ICU (SPH)

An outbreak of COVID-19 has been detected in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at St. Paul’s Hospital.

Vancouver Coastal Health declared the outbreak in a bulletin on Thursday afternoon. The bulletin indicates that restrictions have been imposed.

The NICU provides neonatal services to premature infants, ill full-term newborns and infants transferred from other neonatal facilities with ongoing specialized care needed.
