Scotiabank Feast of Fortune Gala raises over $1 million for women’s health
GOOD FORTUNE: St Paul’s Hospital Foundation ushered in the Year of the Rat in grand style raising a record-setting $1.08 million for women’s health at both Mount St Joseph and St. Paul’s Hospital.
From humble beginnings at a Richmond Chinese restaurant, the Scotiabank Feast of Fortune Gala has become a major fundraiser for the firm. Established 13 years ago to bring Metro Vancouver’s Asian community together to support leading health care providers, the dinner and auction is a beloved tradition and leading date on the Lower Mainland’s Lunar New Year circuit.
Steered by co-chairs Dr. Janet Kow, Shirley Zhao and Dick Vollet, Foundation CEO and President, the event drew some 550 guests to Parq Vancouver.
