Vancouver HIV/AIDS advocacy organization shutting its doors (BC CENTRE FOR HIV/AIDS)

VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — After nearly 35 years a Vancouver organization providing support and advocacy for people living with HIV/AIDS is being forced to close for financial reasons.

In an announcement posted Saturday, Positive Living BC says it will “cease all program delivery” on March 31, 2020.

“These actions are the consequence of steadily declining revenue for our Society over the past several years. Cutting operational expenses, maximizing our volunteer workforce, and pursuing new income sources have allowed us to survive until now,” the statement reads.
